The Blackdown Hills AONB management plan:
- Describes the special qualities of the Blackdown Hills AONB
- Explains why the AONB is important
- Sets out an agreed vision for its future
- Identifies the challenges and opportunities for the area, and how these will be tackled.
The management plan is reviewed every five years and is supported with a five-year delivery plan and an annual business plan.
2019-2024 management plan
Consultation on the draft Blackdown Hills AONB management plan 2019-2024 is open between 18 October and 30 November 2018.

If you would like to discuss the draft management plan with a member of the AONB team, we are holding two drop-in sessions at our office in Hemyock, on:
- Thursday 1 November between 9am and 12 noon
- Monday 12 November between 1pm and 4pm
Blackdown Hills AONB Partnership is leading on the review of the management plan on behalf of the six responsible local authorities. Comments received will help to inform revisions to the draft plan before it is adopted by local authorities in spring 2019.

Blackdown Hills AONB’s annual business plan is an internal working document.
It sets out the key activities, core work and projects to be undertaken by the AONB team and the key members of Blackdown Hills AONB Partnership.
